This album stands as Metallica's master-piece, captured in their prime and on their way to the very top of the metal world. An amazing album with breadth of sonic variety and some quite decent lyrics even. Sadly this was Metallica's last album with bassist Cliff Burton which ended up changing the band drastically from it's unique roots.
