Web Connection
MySQL Support?
I understand the wwBusiness supports MySQL and that's cool - but regarding the WebConnect system files, does it support creating and using MySQL tables for requestlog, sessions, etc...
IOW, how much customization will I need to do to convert an app from MSSQL to mySQL?
TIA

There's no official support for MySql but wwbusiness works with it as long as you use the right SQL syntax.

I think the Session and Log file functionality should work, but the creation scripts might not work. You have to try it... but you can probably create the tables manually.

Ok I take that back - looking over the SQL session code I see there are stored procedures used in SQL Server. Those won't work in MySql. I think the best way to deal with this would be create a custom wwSessionMySql class that duplicates the functionality of the stored procs. It should be pretty straight forward to do this and could easily be done without stored procs.
The request log should work since it's just basic SQL code but again you may have to customize the sql. The configuration script and SQL code is in the templates\westwind.sql file.
