Licensing

The license terms depend on the type of license that is purchased. Several licenses are available:

Shareware License
Basic License
Service License
Organization License

Both the basic and service licenses are individual licenses that are tied to a specific user. An organization license is bound to a specific business, government or other organizational unit.

Free License

The free license of Web Monitor allows you to run Web Monitor for free as a desktop application without service support. This version is limited to 3 sites being monitored and doesn't support advanced HTTP features such as providing custom headers or HTTP body content. If you need to monitor more than 3 sites a full license is required.

Basic License

The basic license allows a single user to use Web Monitor as a desktop application. This license is tied to an individual user and as long as the machine is owned, controlled and run by that registered user, multiple copies of the software may be run concurrently on multiple machines.

Service License

The service license allows a single user to use Web Monitor as a desktop application, or as a Windows Service and also enables the IIS remote administration interface. This license is tied to an individual user and as long as the machine is owned and run by that registered user, multiple copies of the software may be run concurrently on multiple machines.

Organizational License

The organizational license is a specialized version of the service license that allows many copies of the software to be run within a company or other organizational unit. You are allowed to run unlimited number of copies of the software within the context of the business or organizational unit.

Source Code License

The Source Code license is an organizational license plus all the source code to Web Monitor. You are allowed to modify and recompile the application and use it within the context of your organization's business environment. You are not allowed to resell the original or modified applications to third parties, the use is restricted specifically to your organization.
